Sand, polish, seal
The oxidised outer layer is machine-sanded away in stages, polished back to optical clarity, then sealed with a UV-resistant coating.

Why bother?
Cloudy headlights aren't just ugly
Modern headlights are polycarbonate plastic with a factory UV coat. Sun, salt and car washes wear that coat away and the plastic oxidises, turning yellow and hazy. The result:
- Far less light on the road. Independent tests have found heavily aged lenses can cut light output by well over half.
- MOT risk. Headlamps that are too dim or badly deteriorated can fail the lighting check.
- Lower resale value. Yellow lenses make a car look older than it is.

Frequently asked
How long does the restoration last?
Years, not months. The difference between a lasting job and a quick fix is the UV sealant we apply at the end, which replaces the factory coating. We back it with a 12‑month guarantee against yellowing.
Does it work on every car?
Almost. Any plastic (polycarbonate) headlight can be restored, which is every car built since the late 1990s. Very deep cracks or moisture inside the unit can't be fixed by polishing; we'll tell you honestly before starting.
How long does it take?
Usually 45–60 minutes for both headlights. Heavily oxidised lenses can take a little longer.
What if it's raining?
Light rain is fine if we can work under cover such as a garage, carport or driveway awning. In heavy rain we'll rearrange at no charge.
Do I need to be there?
No. As long as we can access the front of the car, you can carry on with your day. We'll send before and after photos when we're done.
How do I pay?
Card, cash or bank transfer once the job is finished and you're happy with it. Nothing to pay upfront.
